The DCASS Art-in-Science Competition gives participants an opportunity to demonstrate that art and science are not distinct enterprises. The process of discovery in science and engineering parallels the artistic creative process and can give rise to images of sublime beauty.

Rules

  • Submission must have technical merit
  • Artwork must be original and without copyright
  • Each entry must have a title and a description of up to 3 sentences
  • Images will be displayed at a maximum size of 8" x 10"
  • Images are limited to 5Mb and videos to 20Mb
  • Videos are limited to 30 seconds

Prizes

Winners are selected by a popular vote of DCASS attendees. First, second, and third place photo entries will each win a free meal to the Spring Awards Banquet and will receive a framed print of their entry. The first place video entry will win a free meal to the Spring Awards Banquet.
